It is increasing catalogue:Vincenzo Fabrici
On the vault of sacristy of cathedral of Sermoneta are some painting, that now are not ascribed by critical studies, but I think for stylistical motives that these painting are certainly of Vincenzo Fabrici; I have considered this painter some time and I have ascribed some painting, and now I give back to Fabrici these painting because it are, may, first work in Sermoneta; in fact stylistical nature of Fabrici is very youthful and he, now, anticipates his stylistical culture, that he adopted to other painting in Sermoneta; anyway first document to Fabrici is a payment at 1759 in Sermoneta, to a painting and style is very better in confront of these painting; but some particular let that we consider both age and autography of Fabrici: then eyebrow as flowing hair of saint John(Fig.1) are equal to Christ blessing in Diocesan Museum of Sermoneta(Fig.2), although better to quality, it is equal to other blowing hair this is, other Christ blessing in Cori(Fig.3) and other painting in same cathedral of Sermoneta with other Christ(fig.4); every Christ is equal to eyebrow, the noses are equal to all painting, although to later painting is better, but essential character is same, rightness and long. Therefore all paintings are paternal attribution and this is interesting because catalogue of a painter, unknown, now has some work, because also other painting on same vault as saint Mark and saint Matthew(Figg.5-7), that are same hand.
