Antonello from Messina: two ways and one painter
Antonio di Giovanni di Antonio, called Antonello da Messina(1430-1479), Sicilian painter at 15th century is a perfect meet between two different ways to paint: one is Flemish, and it is evident in painting, because he takes punctual definition of particular, he is very precise to all, so following Flemish paint, but he has took this strong influence through his master Colantonio(Fig.1), and he has followed this way until he has met Venetian paint, and he has took influence from colours, very intense, light and physical presence, as portraits(Figs.2-3), light is Venetian and it is evident because Giovanni Bellini(Figs.4-5) adopted this tools to paint, and Antonello mixed perfectly light and colour of Venice, where he stood for two years; therefore he used two traditions and he mixed these with mastery, he follows both reality of Flemish and Italian plastic, and he used to every painting he worked; to san Sebastian, very famous painting , he took reality in fact he painted city and persons with attention and precision but he took light and Italian plastic, this is physical presence on the painting; therefore Antonello takes two ways and two country but twice mixed in one brush.

 Subsumption

Socrates turned around a pub in a great city, and he asked a tea and he has had bought a newspaper, he red it when a girl approached to him and asked: “Are you from love?”, Socrates that was very neglected, with a cloth very dirty, long bard as hair, and naked feet, with a rope to belt and very disordered, in fact barmaid was worried because he taught that he not will buy this tea; anyway Socrates red newspaper, and close it, he drunk his tea, and answered to girl: “Are you racist?”, and girl: “No, absolutely!”, and Socrates: “Why?”, and girl: “Because it is immoral, and because I haven’t motive”, Socrates heard this motive and: “I think that you are racist, but you don’t say it”, and girl asked: “Why, do you think it?”, and Socrates: “Because you are a very black girl and you have alone a will, this is gain!”, and girl very worried: “What? Do you think that…”, Socrates interrupted this words: “You want gain not materially but with soul”, and girl very angry, had an expression become curious: “This is?” and Socrates asked other two tea, but without ask to girl if she wanted a tea, and Socrates asked: “Do you know subsumption?”, and girl: “No, absolutely”, and Socrates: “This is a philosophical concept, you must sit under other concept very great a think or characteristic very little”, and Diana this is name of girl: “Very interesting, but I have an appointment therefore, I must leave you now”, and Socrates greeted Diana, but she got out pub and very soon she entered again and set on same town, next Socrates, and asked: “What is subsumption? And what is means, and what is his origin, and very important question, because do you break my balls with philosophy?”, and Socrates: “What is mean I have explained, this word is from Latin subsumptio and this is means that I take by under, I set a concept…”, and Diana: “Yes I know it because you have said it, but what is practical aim”, and Socrates: “Conformism is a subsumption of gain!”, Diana become very curious: “Why?”, and Socrates: “If you have a store, do you prevent that white or Spanish entered to your store?”, and Diana: “No, certainly!”, and Socrates: “Why?”, and Diana: “Because I am not racist”, and Socrates: “No, alone because you want gain; and if you prevent to white, Spanish and other race different your, you will fail very soon, because much costumers don’t attended your store; therefore conformism is alone subsumption of gain; politeness is gain, because very good cut figure is gain; but we must consider that also good politeness is gain, although gain is very hide because is historical, therefore through centuries”, and Diana: “What is?” and Socrates: “In conformity with good politeness, guest must set before owner of home, why?”, and Diana: “I don’t know”, and Socrates: “Because guest during ancient time could be with armies, and he could beat owner of home and his family; therefore guest must be set before; this is a gain because owner hasn’t dangers; then good politeness is a gain, not be racist is gain, the racism is gain because they have gain with notorious position, gain to soul, fame and importance”, and Diana: “Were Ancient Roman racist?” and Socrates: “No, because they considered alone courage and virtue; in fact much Roman imperators aren’t Roman, because with virtue gain was to Rome and empire, therefore all will gain”, then Diana: “I understood that I not will start a store and not will study Roman historical, and I not will study philosophy, but one moment because I go to bathroom”, when Diana gone out from bathroom she didn’t Socrates, and she asked to barmaid: “Where is guy that was here?”, barmaid asked: “What guy?”, and Diana: “Socrates”, and barmaid: “You come here very late, Socrates is dead at 399 b.Ch., in Athens”, and therefore she gone out from pub, and she searched around but she didn’t find nobody.
