Hagiographical parents

I disturb this word from ancient Greek άγιόγραφικός, means inherent to life of saints, because I want remark how is hagiographical life of Gian Lorenzo Bernini, wrote by his son Domenico; is sufficient to read some step for to understand how is false and adulatory this life, Domenico to first experience of his father affirms: “…from start he begins Gian Lorenzo to so engaged that he lost childlike often he passed hours for see sculpture and he worked a small head of baby”; very strange, because where is this small head? Who was costumer who commissioned to Gian Lorenzo this sculpture, for following life Domenico describe who is costumer, he in fact mentioned Cardinal Scipione Borghese, Maffeo Barberini, after pope Urban VIII, same question for other sculpture work that Gian Lorenzo would have sculptured for church of Saint Pudenziana in Rome, for this work we lack of costumer and town, for portrait of cardinal Scipione Borghese, the legend is very remarkable, for a vein on the marble portrait was reworked by Bernini, it is true, but time necessary is very laughable, three days, it is impossible although is a copy; and with cunning Domenico now leaves age of his father, because this portrait id datable around December 1632, and Gian Lorenzo had 34 years, and therefore is was now a professional sculptor; other legend is planed by Domenico for so called Baldacchino in Saint Peter Rome, Bernini was 70^th for contest that pope Urbano VIII announced, and idea for this structure is from Maderno and Borromini and not from Bernini, as in fact Domenico wrote, but is legend that Annibale Carracci has said that Bernini would worked this Baldacchino, with these words: “Believe me that he has prodigious mind so that he will work a great building in half…”; when Carracci died was 1610 and Baldacchino isn’t neither imagined; therefore Domenico wrote a life that had hagiographical characteristic of life of saint, although without miracles, or miracles are those artistical.

Disturb oil termine agiografia dal greco άγιόγραφικός, quindi inerente alla vita dei santi con relative miracoli, perché voglio rimarcare l’agiografica vita di Gian Lorenzo Bernini scritta dal figlio Domenico; è sufficiente leggere qualche passo per capire le falsità e l’adulazione; Domenico primo riguardo alle prime esperienze del padre afferma: “…fin dal principio cominciò Gio: Lorenzo eſſere così vago ancor’eglí di queſta Proſeſſione , che abbandonati i paſſatempi puerili ſpeſſo ſi tratteneva le hore intiere immobile a rimirarne i lavori, &all’eſcmpio di lui in eta di otto anni ſcce di marmo una piccola Teſta di un puttíno…”; davvero strano perché dove si trova questa piccola testa? Chi è il committente? Come poi in seguito Domenico invece esplicherà con Paolo V Borghese, infatti menziona il Cardinal Borghese, Maffeo Barberini poi papa Urbano VIII, e qualche altra domanda per altre opere di Bernini, ossia dove avrebbe scolpito nella chiesa romana di Santa Pudenziana, per la cui commissione mancano committente e luogo; per il ritratto del Cardinal Borghese la leggenda resta davvero rimarcabile, per una venatura sul marmo il ritratto venne rieseguito, ma il tempo per questo rifacimento resta risibile, tre giorni, impossibile sebbene fosse una copia; e con furbizia Domenico ora tralascia l’età di suo padre, poiché questo ritratto è databile intorno al 1632 quando Gian Lorenzo aveva 34 anni, e quindi un professionista, altra leggenda ideata da Domenico è per il Baldacchino di San Pietro, Bernini fu settantesimo nel concorso e l’ideazione fu di Maderno e Borromini; infatti Domenico lo afferma almeno per Maderno; ma poi ricade nella leggenda quando afferma che Annibale Carracci avrebbe detto: “Credete a me , ch’ein ha pare da ’venire un Prodigioſo ingegno, che in quel mezzo, et in quel fondo ha da fare due gran Moli proporzionate alla vastità di quel tempio…”; quando Carracci morì nel 1610 il Baldacchino non era neanche stato pensato; quindi Domenico scrisse una vita seguendo i canoni agiografici delle vite dei santi, sebbene senza miracoli, o meglio con i soli miracoli artistici.
