Interest and disinterestedness to Cicero
I am not a specialist of ancient culture or Cicero, but I remember very well my course of Latin language during my school years; but somebody, this is my husband, wanted that I write this assay; the First discourse against Catiline usually called to Latin language In Catilinam is a sign of dangerous moment to ancient Rome, and Cicero was used by senators to ovoid that Catiline take power; but it is important that Rome during 64 b.C. lived a moment very precarious, and Catiline was a danger and deeply felt is showed by first words of Cicero: “Quo usque tandem abutere, Catilina, patientia nostra?”, this is: “Till do will you abuse our patience, Catiline?”, naturally we must consider that word patience in Latin language is English to bear, therefore is serious form of our word. But we must consider also that much senators during this time were very next to Cicero, therefore very friends, but after condemn of Catiline these friends disappeared; this is normal to political behaviour, men join somebody when they have need, but after they will disappeared; in fact Cicero after condemn of Catiline was exiled in Cilicia by Caesar, because he was a danger to Caesar, whose Cicero was very opponent; Cicero during his exile written The friendship, book that said a human truly; this is when men need they are next but when they don’t need they are very distant, in fact it is very meaningful that this book is written by Cicero after condemn of Catiline, this is when Cicero made his task, when Cicero has been useful, and we can seen his regret during red; he shows episodes of true friends, and we can think he tough how much senators have had showed friendship to him but after they are disappeared; therefore ancient examples are very opportune to our time.

Citizen realism of Canaletto
The realism is a cultural address that we can know among many cultural matters, literature above all Russian, French and Italian, also in painting with Caravaggio, Ribera, Velazquez, Rubens and others, but I want consider an Italian painter, Antonio Canal called Canaletto(1697-1768), Venetian painter, son of a painter, and very famous during 18th century both in Italy and British, above all to his portrait of city of Venice; towns and other places or camp tower and moments of Venice during 18th century; but I want consider that the realism of Canaletto is predominant because he presents true human gender to his painting, daily moments and true social classes, that we can recognize to cloth; therefore very much paintings were to English commitments, he reports therefore the life in Venice, moments very holyday Bucintoro goes back to wharf at day of Assumption(Fig.1), but also at day daily Saint Mark place(Fig.2). The realism of Canaletto is permanent and he used this address  during his stay in British, where he worked same concept to painting, human and social realism(Figg.3-4). We must consider that Canaletto worked in Rome with his father to scenery, because his father was scene-designer, therefore he shows real image of a city or other during his job in theatre, therefore he was habited to image of reality. To his drawings(Figg.5-8) he presents towns of Venice in drawing to show it to his commitment, this is what will be image of town; it is normal to painter, but this process to work manifests more that image of town is important therefore it is document of Venice that some tourist has seen. I think that Canaletto have to shows life in Venice to show it to British tourist, in fact much painting were aimed to tourists and Canaletto with some acquaintance as Joseph Smith entrepreneur and collections of book and painting and much influencing on British art merchant; therefore an agent to Canaletto and collection of his painting, therefore painter has showed the life in Venice with his moments and his human characters, may a presentation of human gender to aristocracy, this is motive to realism.

Noumenic reality
Le reality of Diego Stella, he is an Italian painter, today alive, (sometime I consider somebody alive, since Xenophon said “The dialogue of historical is with dead”), Diego Stella anyway is present and his picture is very interesting to his reality, because this isn’t a reality cruel as Caravaggio or Edward Hopper and other but his reality is a mixed between reality and noumenic think, this is between reality and imagine of reality, a reality filtrated trough think, therefore a reality that is clash between true and tough that Diego translates on the canvas; the Naked woman(Fig1) is document true of this interpretation, woman is true to her anatomy, very adherent to reality, but other is imaginary, nothing is entirely abstract or real but all is half, this takes between think and objective, therefore Diego is a half, a “mesos” of Aristoteles, half between visible and thinkable, effectively two reality, because also thinkable is a reality, because we can imagine it therefore this is real, therefore we can become it noumenic.

The battle of Steinbeck
This essay is about the romance of John Steinbeck In doubt battle, that I consider a true exemple of American realism, in contest that would be political and ideological, but it is betrayed because author described live, common live of workers with difficulties and poverty, certainly, but ideological question is very marginal, battle of class of workers is alone mentioned some time, nothing is present to a declaration with political intentions; therefore Steinbeck avoids connection with socialism at his time, this is 1936, when certainly socialism was bordered alone in some country, and when economical condition of USA was certainly much precarious, therefore condition of entrepreneurs not was certainly richest; therefore the realism is present to description of human conditions of worker, but Steinbeck, so that his history has sense, he must exaggerate comments and conditions, that certainly could be may in conformity with description of Steinbeck but with much romanticized intent, and finally with very small ideological share; therefore now in Steinbeck follows his realism and description of irrelevant moment of live, that in his romance are part integral his style, that isn’t never thrown to big history or great themes, but contrary he takes always middle and down subject, because he describes with realism that he seen and sees, therefore great question aren’t also in this romance, that from a strike it become a daily description.

Here all is strangest”, and he after eaten breakfast he gone out by hotel and he walked on the road and he looked persons with goggle eyes, dog with one head and persons with alone two hands, two eyes and hear. He walked all day and after he gone back to hotel, and he slept all night, day after he opened eyes and he seen dark, opened window and same dark, therefore he calmed and he seen bats and snakes  and women with two or three heads and sex or seven hands, three eyes and other, he entered in office and seen again his habit, therefore called his secretary and asked a drink, she carried it and before gone out she asked: “Excuse me, I have a question”, and George looked her and: “Yes”, and she: “How is the word?”, and he: “Don’t ask, please, don’t ask it! Anomalous, very anomalous!”.

To smell
Albert was a person very hurried, he hasn’t time to nothing, to love, to talk, alone to business, to amuse and other, in fact he not was married and he has had alone some rapport with women, but alone to business, and he not would it, he was habited to lead and to command, he not permitted errors and he would that everything was right in conformity with his orders, with women he has very little rapports and he would command also on female sex, he aren’t a male chauvinist, but he would that women were subordinate to men. Like every morning he gone to office, the investments don’t wait certainly Albert, during a night possible that you become very rich or very poor, and Albert known it perfectly, therefore he would be always first in his job, in his task and in gain. A morning he gone back by Europe and he arrived in airport very early, and he thought soon to office and other businesses that were present and important; he entered in office and since was very early nobody was present, he opened his office and closed door but he didn’t see where he was, and he raised eyes and he looked his office, lighted and set, suddenly he smelled a scent, very fragrance and very good, a perfume that he didn’t smelled never; he raise immediately head to follow this perfume and opened door and he looked a female figure that approached to him and looked in the office, this female looked around in the office, looked computer and she asked: “Quid est istum?”, Albert very astonish, above all to dress of woman that seems very distant by his contemporary: very large skirt and white all, large sleeve, he didn’t seen feet, she seems walk without feet; Albert thought that she come there by a fancy dress parade, but language was very strange, in fact he asked: “What do you have asked?”, and woman looked attentively Albert and: “Quid tu demandis?”, Albert begun to worry because he thought that she was a crazy and dangerous, he took his mobile phone and called police, but in phone he had strange answers and with strange language that he didn’t understood, he closed call, and: “What’s your name?”, woman was looking around and asked: “Quid est instrumentum quid habes?”, Albert turned suddenly and he seen that a light and two voices approached, therefore he gone out by office and: “Jeremy and Robert, please here soon, on the contrary now!”, two policemen approached to Albert’s office and he indicated soon woman and: “Arrested immediately this woman”, and policemen: “Yes, but what woman?”, Albert looked two policemen and indicated with high voice: “This”, but policemen looked around and: “Mister, are you good state?”, and Albert: “Certum est istum!”, and policemen: “What?”, and Albert very astonish: “Nothing, excuse me, you can go out”, therefore policemen made it. Albert switch on computer and seen on desktop that woman said: “I am waiting you, do you will move or not?”, Albert goggle eyes, and what do you make there?”, and woman: “Open the door and come here, soon!”, Albert obeyed immediately, he opened the door and he was in a gallery with much painting on the wall with much figures, and woman next him that looked and: “You are true disaster, on the contrary, you are disgust, where do you have bought this dress, so poor and squalid, very popular, Albert looked woman and: “Do you think? I recognize that to fancy dress parade is very elegant and formal”, woman ignored words of Albert and she looked his dress, and: “You are very disgusting, I have hoped that you could be better than so, also your behaviour is very popular, anyway, you are very ignorant; do you know Latin language?” and Albert: “No certainly!”, and woman: “Anyway you must be silent and hear that I will say, do you understand?”, and Albert: “Yes”, and they gone away in the gallery, first figure woman stopped Albert and: “This figure is the Acknowledge, she has four hands and four ears because it means that a wise man must know hear and work, and hear other advices”, they walked away and: “This is the Prudence, she has a gold helmet it  means intelligence of prudent man, with wise advices, the garland mulberry  means that prudent man works ahead and with intelligence, the mirror means that prudent man works his actions after that he known his defect and to right these” , and so they gone to all figure, and when they ended woman opened a door and entered in; Albert felt immediately and great sleep and he failed in the gallery. When he awaked he was in office and had a call by secretary that asked to go immediately to new boss of company; Albert righted his dress and gone immediately, he knocked and entered, boss was set to back and Albert waited orders; she turned and Albert recognized same woman of gallery, he looked goggle eyes and kneeled and with bended hand: “Madame”, and she: “Do you understand information and advices that you have had?”, and Albert: “Yes Madame!” and woman: “Now you can go”, and Albert gone out with great surprise, he walked in front of his secretary that looked him, he stopped before entered in office and he gone back to secretary, that got up immediately, he did hand-kissing his secretary, and: “Madame, good morning”, she looked Albert and: “Are you good state Mister?” and Albert: “Yes Madame, very good; dulce die tibi sit pulchra femina”, and entered in office, secretary called immediately boss and: “Hello, I think that you have exaggerated”, and boss: “Why?”, and secretary: “Because he is very changed, too may”, and boss: “Love, you must advise him, remember that you are the Prudence”.

Antonio Carneo: opposite direction

This essay has to subject a painter very unknown this is Antonio Carneo(1637-1692), a painter that lived in venetian land, and may he come in Rome; this hypothesis is very possible because in his paintings are present some references to Roman painter, Andrea Sacchi(Fig.1) and naturalism that he has seen perhaps in paintings of Caravaggio(Figg.2-4) also Guido Reni(Figg.5-6) and his Emilia naturalism, and we can’t forgotten Giovan Francesco Barbieri called Guercino; Italian critic of art history says that colour of Venetian has influenced painter culture of Emilia Romagna, it is true because Venetian colour has took also Emilia, but now “opposite direction” of title means that the naturalism of Carneo(Figg.7-8) is Roman and Emilian, therefore Venice has given colour to Emilia and also to Rome, but alone to some painters and little time, and Rome and Emilian have given naturalism to Venice, land that has had some moment of natural painter but little naturalist, as Bassano family, painters that used naturalism but they were alone a moment and with same subject fair and animals; more over the brush of Carneo is certainly took by Fetti, Italian painter of 17th century from Genoa, but some posture is from Andrea Mantegna and Sacchi, the Death of Christ(Fig.9)of Mantegna has inspired certainly posture for Cleopatra, and Saint Ann(Fig10) of Sacchi has inspired posture of Lucretia(Fig.11), and to posture of Madeleine(Fig.12), he has seen posture of Saint Francis(Fig.13) of Luca Giordano in Galleria Colonna, Rome; therefore Carneo takes much models and as each painter he uses in conformity his need.
